We have received a donation of several books by Christian Fiction/Historical Fiction author Lynn Austin. In addition to those already on our shelves, we have added the Chronicles of the Kings five part series, and the Ladies of Liberty three part series.

Using grant money from the Wakefield Community Foundation, we have secured some creative books for summertime and Summer Reading Program enjoyment. We have books on drawing, writing poetry, enjoying various types of music and doing craft projects with parents and children. These books will help fill the extra at-home time this summer.

We have some new books which discuss the founding of America and its government. We have the Doris Kearns Goodwin book A Team of Rivals, Founding Brothers by Joseph J. Ellis and a standard book for the study of our nation's history, Democracy in America by Alexis De Tocqueville. Get ready for Independence Day!
