The library has a new selection of nonfiction books for the young readers. These books with real pictures and simple vocabulary answer the following questions: Where Does Electricity Come From?,Where Does the Recycling Go? Where Does the Garbage Go?, Where Does the Mail Go?, Where Does the Bathwater Go?, and Where does Our Food Come From? New Large Print Fiction books are: The Distant Hours by Kate Morton, Three Good Things by Wendy Francis, Beneath the Shadows by Sara Foster, The Sins of the Mother by Danielle Steele, The Gifted by Ann H. Gabhart, and a new Hope Beach series book titled Tidewater Inn by Coleen Coble. New Regular Print fiction books are: The Giving Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini, Touch and Go by Lisa Gardner, Celebrity in Death and Calculated in Death by J.D. Robb, Threat Vector by Tom Clancy and Mark Geaney, and Big Sky River by Linda Lael Miller.

If you are interested in being in another class, please call the library at 402-287-2334 and let us know when you would be interested in attending. We may have a night or afternoon meeting depending upon the interest. Geneology Group FormingSeveral people have also expressed an interest in being part of a geneology group at the library. This group would get together with Gloria possibly one time a month to help each other, and to share their findings and successes with their research. Remember that the library only has license to use this program in the library, so it cannot be accessed on your home computers. Gardner Library Book ClubThe book club members will be reading The Postmistress by Sarah Blake for their 4:00 p.m. April 16, 2013 meeting at the library. Please come to the library to get a copy of the book if you would like to participate in the discussion. Summer Reading ProgramDIG INTO READING is the theme of the 2013 summer reading program. The program will be for children from 3 years-old to those going into Grade 3. Activities will begin Wednesday, May 22,2013 from 9:30-10:30 A.M.and continue throughout June and July. Please preregister your child for the program and make sure that they have a library card. Cards and the program activities are all free.
