Gardner Public Library received the following books in large print through a donation from the Wayne Eagles Auxiliary. The books are: A SIMPLE WINTER by Rosalind Lauer, LONE WOLF by Jodi Picoult, SONOMA ROSE by Jennifer Chaverini, THE NIGHT CIRCUS by Erin Morgenstern, SUMMER OF SECRETS by Charlotte Hubbard, LOVE BLOOMS IN WINTER by Lori Copeland, and THE DRESSMAKER by Kate Alcott. A donation was received by the Wakefield Lions Club to purchase audio books for the library. That money was spent to purchase the following unabridged CDs: ONE FOR THE MONEY by Janet Evanovich, LEFT FOR DEAD by J.A.Jance, KILLING THE BLUES by Robert B. Digital Audiobooks and eBooks from Nebraska OverDrive Libraries - More information {HERE} Shutterfly Computer ClassPam VanderVeen will be conducting a class on the use of Shutterfly to print pictures, cards, & memory books at Gardner Public Library on Wed. April 18, 2012. The class will cost $10.00 and will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please call 402-287-2334 or come to the library to register. Bring your own laptop in order to install the free Shutterfly program on your computer. If you would like to read this humorous book with the members, please come to the library to get a copy. The book discussion will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tues. April 17, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. No School--Movie DayOn Friday, April 6, 2012 Wakefield Community Schools will have spring break. On that day at 2:00 p.m. a new ALVIN THE THE CHIPMUNKS movie will be shown in Gardner Library meeting room. This movie will be for kids who are in kindergarten through grade 4. After School Story time for PreschoolersHeather will be sharing CURIOUS GEORGE books and doing games and activities around these books for children who are 3 and 4 years old. Please come to the Gardner Library meeting room beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 to join in the fun.
